| Quote “Again, another gutless pratt who wont put his/her name to posts.”
- There is no point putting a name on an unsolicited board like this, and to prove it I will make this post under your name so everyone think’s you posted it. How do we know what is genuine and what is not on here?
Quote “For info, I didn't even know there was a game last night, another case of piss poor PR.”
- It’s been on the front page of the website for weeks, don’t you look there now because you are banned from the forum? For someone who deems to have a good knowledge of non-league football, to not know there are games on is poor. Too busy checking out the offers on Huddersfield Towns site? How can you expect people to take your opinions on Runcorn Linnets seriously when you don’t even know when they play?
Quote – “The attitude of "There are two groups of people" is exactly what we have come to expect from a piss poor organisation … etc”
- BIT IT IS TRUE! – those that act, and those that talk (and type) at length.
Quote “ "A local non-league side" - well I suppose what you class as local and where you live.
Local to the people of Runcorn would be Runcorn Town.”
- Local as in Runcorn, the Linnets, playing in Yellow and Green, the team you and I have all supported all these years. Will the club be local enough for you at Riverside College?
Quote “I might be one of the first through the turnstiles at a new ground, what's wrong with that?”
- There’s nothing wrong with it. It would be great. Why not come and help now and make it happen a bit quicker. You obviously care, why not get involved and show it?
Quote “A bigger stance at Canal Street and more opposition and the club might have had a chance. I fail to see many of the current board who wanted to help back then or speak up (Derek Greenwood aside).”
- It’s gone. Look to the future. We are never going back to Canal Street.
Quote “As for the new ground, most of you seem to live in the Field of Dreams mentality - "If you build it, they will come", but it will take a lot more PR than that, but i suppose your time will be spent slapping each others backs and congratulating each other on the new ground, rather than putting efffort into attracting fans along.”
- Building the ground is the best chance the club has of attracting new fans. We are not going to get many new fans at Witton. So unfortunately the few that do attend will have to raise the money, build the ground and take it from there. Then (after a celebratory beer or two) we will have to attract new fans to Runcorn Linnets. And if it doesn’t come off, at least I can say “I tried”, which is more than you did.
