Certain individuals lapping up the attention for getting a deal with the brewery.
Well lets put it into perspective, its not exactly a hard deal to do.
Several breweries would be competing with each other to get the chance to have their brand in a new football social club and college campus.
The brewery stand to make a hell of a lot of money out of a decent social club, just look at the money that Greenhalls threw at the Linnets club over the years.
I bet the board bent over to the first offer they got, rather than playing the leading breweries off against each other. You only have to see what sort of offers the likes of Pavillions get off Carlsberg or St Maries off Carling.
Yes, its a good step in the direction of getting the club back to Runcorn, but this money is not there for the ground, but for a social club and it will take a hell of a lot more than the £55,000 in the current fund to build a social club, never mind a ground. Furnishings alone in a social club cost a hell of a lot more than £40,000.

So before the board are so quick to encourage self congratulations, lets save it for when there is something actually phsyical for people to see, bricks and morta, goalposts and stands.
The rate we are going, with the premature applause, I wouldnt rule of the stadium being named after one of the board members. The Dave Dutton stadium, has a certain ring to it dont you think?
