Absolute rubbish. Nice myth, but no facts to back it up as usual.

Same with money for stadium. Upton Rocks in Widnes has been main capital
source for years alongside a grant they got through putting the regional table tennis
set up in west stand. Another myth blown. Brindley was even funded by Upton Rocks.

Everton reserves threatened pull out because of three teams using pitches,
as premiership clubs have tougher rules about safety of playing surfaces for their
players.

Suggest you write a freedom of information request to council for
answer and watch as they delight in responding..?
