The club has been granted £100,000 from the borough council with a prospective £70,000 from the Football Foundation through the FA.
Linnets will invest £30,000 into the scheme and investigations are under way as to whether this amount can be match funded through Sport England.
(Any idea if the club has £30,000 actually in the pot?)
That gives a figure of £130,000 investment from Linnets and HBC.
£70,000 is a prosepctive funding, so no guarantees.
£30,000 could possibly be matched by Sport England.
So potentially £230,000
There are also possible other funds though these are not part of the costings are the £40,000 from brewers Thwaites and £10,000 Local Area Forum money which are still included on the ground-fund totaliser but related to the Riverside site. The club is investigating if these sums are still available.
The area forum would be a cash sum of £10,000 so that can go into the pot, so possibly £240,000.
Any ideas on the full cost of the stadium and project not including the all weather pitch?
As fans, we need to be realistic, a ground comparable with Witton or even Canal Street wont happen in the short term and a lot will be governed by the success on the pitch. What dictates what is the big decision.
I agree that a small part of cover is needed on the side of the pitch. Not all fans like standing behind a goal and if it rains, it would be a very tight squeeze under one small area of cover, with any potential away fans also being under there and the possibility of some agro.
Basic tea bars on the ground are also needed, if run by the supporters club, these will be a great source of income. Having them located at the social club will put a lot of people off moving to get a drink or a pie, especially during games, leading to a bigger half time rush. | |
