Probable board member

Response to re: linnets

Its the shite that Wilkes brought and players he failed to bring in, thats got the club in the mess its in now.
In all honesty the board should take some blame, Wilkes should have gone 10 months ago, if not sooner.
A club such as Linntes should have been promoted 2-3 seasons back, not lingering around the bottom reached of the North West Counties league.
Over 600 people have dissapeared off the gates in 2 months, even more if you look at the attendance for the Witton game.
It doesnt help that Town are playing attractive football and winning games. Its no suprise that Town are attracting more and more Linnets regulars along to their games, even taking some away on Friday night.

Perhaps the questions need to be asked about the board rather than the manager.
McNally was appointed on sentiment, as he had a link to the old Runcorn Football Club. Thats no way to make a managerial appointment.
He was basically told that if he applied for the job, he would have go it.
Linnets lives far to much off the past Runcorn Football Club.
Better candiadates than McNally applied for the job, but due to them having no previous Runcorn FC connection, they got snubbed.

I dont see clubs queuing up to take Wilkes on as manager, says a lot about the man.
Its just a shame that he didnt have the dignity to recognise his own failings as a manger, rather than maoning about being sacked, a decision that had been justified for the past 18 months given Wilkes results.
