Have you noticed how Linnets now seem to have dropped the name Linnets from any reference to them?
Match reports, twitter feeds, facebook etc all now simply refer to them as "Runcorn".
Very confusing given that Runcorn has two senior teams within the town of Runcorn. Both playing within the same league and both with the word Runcorn in their name and both through to the same stage of The F.A. Cup.
No doubt this is linked to their identity theft of the former Runcorn AFC.
We even have Kel Hoose claiming last nights win was the best result since the club was reformed. I'm sure what Kel actually meant was since the club was "formed", given that Runcorn Linnets are not a reformed club or did they reform when they moved from Witton to Runcorn? | |
