I cant quite work out what Towns statement is trying to get at.

If I am reading it rightly, what Town are saying is that if Rammy win the league by 1 point, which is very likely as both teams should win their games, then the 1 point becomes an issue for Town to appeal. Is that correct?

If so, thats harsh on Ramsbottom, because they gained a point playing in a game against an ineligable player, why should they have that point taken off them? They did nothing wrong.

Its getting very confusing.

The big winner here is Bootle, as it looks as though they will go unpunished for playing an ineligable player.
