Its a good job we didnt get a friendly with FC United

July 20 2006 at 11:42 AM
Daz

After scenes of violence at Flint, they last night broke into another episode of violence against Alty.
This follows ugly scenes last season at Leigh and the cancelation of a friendly with St Helens Town.
They may bring revenue to a club, but all the hard work can be undone with this behaviour, as it will put people off attending games.
It seems that once they play a club that has home supporters, they cant mix and behave.
Have heard from a few Bury fans that their will be a lot of trouble at the Fc Unite v Bury game and that in the bury supporters club toilets, is a lot of anti FC United graffiti.

Good points Daz maybe the North West Counties League should be monitoring the situation because you are right in saying that mnoey is ok for the club but what goes with it is the trouble etc, that is not acceptable but being honest they are going to have to put up with where ever they go and its going to become a bigger problem the higher up the pyramid they go.
My suggestion to them would be yes form your breakaway club yes,but now youve had your intial season at Bury you need to get your own ground giving you your totally new identity and go from there, but what makes me chuckle about the whole thing is what are they all going to do if 5 years down the line the Glazers are not running UTD are they all going to crawl back to Old Trafford and the club fold, because thats why the club was formed in the first place interesting thought!

But it is not putting your(club)in a good light, will you leave Bury and get your own ground or is it just another example of a couple of seasons wonder like Colne Dyanamos and you all still support UTD on Sky on a Sunday, there has got to be a medium between who you are, or what you are, because it suits you at the moment, The Glazers will go in the end so were will that leave you all and FC UTD as a club then

yet, have you seen FCUM's merchandise, prices for matchday hospitality, dvd releases, wages paid to staff and players.
They are doing the same as the Glazers but on a smaller scale.
You would think they invented non-league football by some of the comments and arrogance their fans come out with.
Last night they were bullying young supporters, being aggressive to stewards and basically thinking they owned the place.
This isnt the first incident and it wont be the last.
They not only tarnished their own name, but have done a lot of damage to the image of Altrincham Football Club.
Was it worth the effort for a crowd of 1,300?

Good luck Runcorn Linnets, hope to get you in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

I think you should get your own ground before you slag our club off.
Have you noticed we are in the FA vase after 1 season as a new club.
The FA haven't done you any favours have they?

I am very disappointed with the replies my fellow supporter received from 1 of your fans. As with us it is always an few who spoil it for the rest. We have a new ground details will be released shortly.
Best of luck I will watch your results and I will attend a game.

All the best with you plans, great news for your development and yes! if youve no game one week call over to Witton or any local games there are plenty round your locality, think some people could be just getting the wrong impression about wot your doing without looking into it, we are slightly different from yourselves in that we are trying to save a great non league name and get it back to the town were it belongs and your team was set-up for the reasons we all are aware of

But Good Luck im sure we will entertain you correctly if you call over to Witton.

Spot on Tony C.
Nothing easier than posting as anonymous and giving it the "I'm so hard me" attitude.
Perhaps the poster had just been watching 'Stir Crazy'. Got visions of him doing a bouncy walk à la Richard Pryor.
