| - About time the club swallowed a bit of pride, removed their heads from their arses and got him back on board.
I notice nearly every idea posted by Tufty on here over the last week, has been adapted by the board. Lets guess who will take all the credit though.
* Inside Halton magazine feature (Suddenly raised by Glyn).
* Amendments to the ground fund launch, including changed price on the brick sale, suggested wording on the future development of the stadium and community links (now on official site stadium release, in almost exact wording to what Tufty posted here).
Some might think he is a twat (myself included at times), but he's done a lot more for the club over the years than the majority of fans and the current board.
Is it really worth alienating a supporter who cares, all in order to please a potential future sponsor who is yet to contribute a penny?
Attracting old supporters such as Tufty is what the club needs to be doing, not alienating more potential supporters.
Perhaps some of the board and members of the FSG actually feel threatened by Tufty and his ideas, as he shows them up for being second rate?

| There is a saying | March 8 2008, 8:09 PM |
There is a saying - "If your going to do a job, then do it properly".
There is a saying at Runcorn Linnets - "If your going to do a job, it doesnt matter how shite you do it or if you have no knowledge of the subject, at least someone is doing it".
The Runcorn Linnets approcah fails to see them utilise any expertise, seek consultaion or help or delegate taks to those who could do a better job.
The classic example is the PR department, time after time its shambolic, but it gets someones name on press relases which can only aid his cv.
The FSG group would rather stand in the rain all day long collecting £50 in a bucket, than put a bit of thought into an event that could raise over £1,000 in a couple of hours. Or make a piss poor sign out of an old peice of wood, rather than something that catches the eye and markets the place. (I do wonder what state some people houses must be in).
Oh well, that's 7 fridge magnets sold, only another 367,999,876,987 more to sell and we will soon be back in Runcorn, thats as long as we find the right bank account number to pay the money into! |
