Andy McCoy has now decided to sign for AFC Liverpool. The idiots on on board did not see any danger in helping AFC Liverpool set up, only the short term PR generated from helping them.
Now they have created direct competition and a potentially bigger name and finance that they are now up against.
This same club will soon be after funds for its own ground.

McCoy in todays Daily Post saying he wants to play for a club that has a big fan base and that will attract players.

As stated previously, I dont understand why Runcorn Linnets directors would actively encourage a rival team, who will be competing for players, supporters, sponsors and ground funding.
It shows how clueless they actually are.
Now we dont know what gates FC liverpool will be getting, but I bet they are a lot higher than what Runcorn Linnets are getting and as stated by McCoy (Who is an Everton fan), he wants to entertain crowds.
We have already seen what benefits FC Utd get off the back of Manchester United and their un-official links.

How has the manager got brought into this?

The fact is Andymc was only a bit part player this season and did not warrant a starting berth so if he decides to move on, its his own choice with our blessing...

Its more a case of the vibes it sends out, when players speak to the press saying that FC Liverpool has more appeal, bigger fan base etc than Runcorn Fc.
If you were a sponsor, where would your money go?
If you were interested in developing a new football stadium, where would your money go?
There are already more people in Runcorn who go to Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd etc; each week, than actually support Runcorn. Thats before you take out the numbers sat in the pubs each week watching them on live TV.

Yet, the board and officials of Runcorn FC, couldnt wait to bend over backwards to help create a rival. Very Strange.
I dont see Pepsi helping Coke or Man Utd helping Liverpool.

From what I have heard, certain people seemed to think that they were actually building ties with Liverpool FC, rather than FC Liverpool and sought the kudos of going down this road.
