Glynn's giddyness

June 24 2008 at 10:18 PM
Dave G

Come on Glyn, lets stop sniffing away at that industrail paint stripper you seem to be on and lets get your head in the real world.
If its not bad enough with your over optimistic pre-match posts before every game and then a shit smelling of roses analogy of every 5-0 defeat, your recollectio of the PR days success is taken to even further levels.

Its no good the likes of Halton Legion expressing an interest in the club, if their only aim is to host a few events in their social club, so they can make money off the back of Runcorn FC.
Lets see what these people are really liek and lets see some commitment from them.
If they want an event, let them fund the band/artist etc.
If they want to help the club, lets see them part with their pennies for a programme advert or a sponsorship deal.
It seems that Glyn is all to happy to please everyone, taking up their offer to host an event and for them to make money over the bar, yet very ittle comes from these people in terms of them parting with any money or putting anything into the club.

As mentioned below (or above if someone replies on the post!!), the brewery deal is not exactly major news, as any halfwit can obtain one of them for a social club. What would be impressive, is seeing the figures quoted by other breweries who were bidding for this lucrative tendor.
What offer did local firm Diageo offer?

And as cock sucking goes, Im suprised Glyn can manage to actually speak given the ammount of cock he has rammed down his throat. Mr Wilkes comes on the forum to answer a few questions and suddenly everyone is sucking him off.
I hope the manager is so fortchoming with his answers and visibility if the team is not competing on the pitch (Didnt hear much from him last seaosn after crap performances).
As a fan, Im not going to call any player a Legend based on previous experience at the likes of Padiham and I hope its not simply a case of Jobs for the boys and more a case of the best man for the job.
You become a Legend with Runcorn FC after years of service and commitment.
One of the reasons managers fail, is that they use the same bunch of cliquey mates who they keep in jobs, yet these people are not up for the role and failure is the end product.
Mr Wilkes, we want promotion and if your not in a position to secure that and the team is not challenging by Christmas, then you have to hold your head up and walk away.
This is a big season for you and dont give me that bullshit about Turning Down the England Job, as im sure you said the same at Padinham until the bigger club came caling.
There is no loyalty in football, so dont try and fool the fans.

Its time some people got into the real world, staring with the liks of Glyn.

You want to look at yourself before you call anyone one here.
You have spent the last 14 months slagging the club off and the board.
Calling them all sorts of names for not helping your bunch of inbreds out with their Sunday team. Suddenly they give you a new kit and all your feelings for them are suddenly changed. How easy you are bought.

Glyns response

June 25 2008, 10:48 PM

See he has given a response on the official site, but fails to see any of the points raised above.
I'm in agreement, there are enough social clubs and people who are happy to make money off the club, yet fail to help with sponsorship or to actually put their own money in.
The offer from Halton Legion is no more worthwhile to the club than an offer from any other of the towns function rooms who would all host an event, as they would make money on the bar/food.

Its all well and good having these PR days and people asking questions about the club/old club, but little is done at these events to attract any fans along to watch the team at Witton.
Its all well and good asking questions, but its bums on seats that we need and investment.
I'm all for Glyns enthusiasm, but its sometimes blinkered an puts more people off than it attracts.
Lets see how attendances compare next season, given the 10% rise in admission costs, increased travelling expenses and no incentive to attract new fans.
