What it says to me

July 5 2008, 12:35 PM

By having the wording "The Waterloo Hotel" on the shirts and knowing what the business is, as most people in Runcorn are aware, this says to me that the club has struggled to gage any interest in the shirt sponsor and has took the only option available.
The Lord Daresbury Hotel or Holiday Inn would be a different kettle of fish, even a small eginearing firm that nobody knows of wouldnt give the same signal. But as it stands, the Waterloo Hotel is a pub in Runcorn, not even one of the most decorative of establishments and has an image of an "Old mans" pub.

Why not simply raffle off the sponsor like we have done in the past or like Runcorn Town are selling now?

I usually by a shirt each season, but I wont be buying next seasons, as wearing it will make me look like a local pub team player.
