How long do we give Wilkes? The Witton IncentiveJune 30 2009 at 12:52 PM | Runcorn Home and Away |
| Given that his overall record is poor and our lack of discipline and inability to stop goals, how long do we give Steve to get the right results?
The bloke is a really nice bloke, has time for the fans, buts its results that count in this game.
Its seems we are struggling to retain our beter players from last season, with nearly a full team of players leaving, nearly all to Formby!
One incentive for players to join us is the facilities on offer at Witton, once we move back to Runcorn we wont have that pulling factor.
Witton also has a better geographical pull for Manchester/Lancashire/Mid Cheshire based players than travelling to Runcorn will have.
Whilst its great to be heading back home, it can also work against us.
Halton Sports is not as easy to get to by car than the planned college site.
The key is getting out of this league and away from the Manchester centralled North West Counties. |

Halton Sports not as easy to get to compared to the college, what way do you drive! |

The College has easier access from Widnes and the M62.
Easier access from the M56 via the Weston expressway.
The college is located within a short walk of a mainline train station and within a short walk from the towns bus station.
So its not a case of what way do you drive as you put it, but from where would people be accessing the stadium from.
I would also say that more of the current fanbase would access the college site via foot than they would at Halton Sports.
But its a pointless argument as the site has been chosen. |

As he saw signs of promise at the trials!
Is this bloke for real?
Stephen Hawkins would look decent in a trial against a bunch of kids.
We can get all exicted as Ricky Newell is back, remind me again why he went in the first plae?
What David Dutton knows about football could be written on the back of a stamp. |
