If this turns out to be true its a good signing for Linnets. Lamby scored goals for fun in our first season along with Thommo.

Not a workhorse but that isnt what we need, we need someone who will stay in and around the box and put the ball away when he gets the chance.

Cant blame the guy for leaving when he did, he had the chance to play at a higher level.

I dont know where to find the statistics, but it will show that Lamb scored a fair few goals for us in our first season, easilly 20+. The way we are playing at the minute it would be a struggle if the entire team scoed 20+ this season so in that sense its a good signing.

I do though agree with you on the reserves, one or two of them should be given a chance, perhaps they will in the lesser cup games.

In the first season, yes!
A season at a lower division than now, or perhaps Macca is building for next year after this years relegation.

its ok scoring goals in division one in 2006 id be suprised if he has scored 15 goals since he left the linnets and he has played for a host of clubs and two of those clubs were at a higher level

the reserve lads must be thinking what have we got to do to get into the first team when they're stuggling and we are flying high ??? doesnt the manager rate or like them or take an interest in them ? as ed says why not promote from within and bring some of these lads into the side ?? linnets first team is struggling for results and goals.why not bring in some reserve lads who are doing really well.will it hurt or harm a linnets side that is sttuggling ? what harm will it do to a side already hurting and getting beat ? fresh faces, new attitude, hunger and desire to play and win.just could be the answer to the linnets problems but bringing in a bloke who wont have come in for free shall we say and overlooking these lads and not even giving them a chance is very downhearting for the reserves and also hurts their morale.the original set up was to promote from within and have a squad and choice of players available to the manager if not in those exact terms yes ??? so why isnt he promoting some of these reserve lads and encouraging them to perform to greater levels cause they know thats there is a way open to the first team for them if they good enough.or like another poster says is macnally building for next season already ? why let the reserves play in quote ''lesser cup matches'' ??? every cup match that runcorn linnets have left to them this season now takes on a position of absolutely crucial so the reserves wont get played in any of them will they ? and why should a sunday league striker be wearing a runcorn town shirt biggy ?

Thats not a wind up or a sarcastic comment, when we ( the supporters team ) were at the changing rooms at Leigh Rec last week waiting to see if our game was on there were two lads from Runcorn Town there also waiting to see if their game was on.

So is it really that bad to have Sunday League players in Linnets team?

Why are Runcorn Town supporters so concerned with who Runcorn Linnets are signing, concentrate on your OWN team.

I think Daz is totally out of order. AGAIN
Who is he to decry the Sunday league and its players.
There are some very good players in it.
Runcorn Town started there days in the Sunday league.
Bet they are proud of that fact as well. They don't hide it.
They will be very grateful to the Sunday league for the start.
Suppose they really are the LOCAL team made good.
Pity so many of us on here hammer them for there efforts.
You should be ashamed of yourself DAZ
