| Re: New Arrivals | June 15 2012, 2:57 PM |
I've been saying Bellew to Skem for days, it's a done deal! Here's another fact, Mong can't keep hold of their best players because the setup of the club is absolute gash! Scotty Burton next out of the door, do you think he wants another season in the counties league when loads of clubs from a higher league are chasing him? |

| Re: town,s new signing | June 16 2012, 10:40 AM |
£135 a week ? i doubt that very much pal, apparently he didnt sign a contract as he wants to play sunday football aswel, another player has also left not sure who though, Burton has brought 8 new players into the squad most of which are from leagues above Town |

Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | June 16 2012, 3:36 PM |
Burton has to replace the good players leaving town! Bellow is the first of many, scott burton, keddie mcshane and dalton will all leave before the start of the season |
|
Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | June 17 2012, 10:32 PM |
Mcshane will be going to Marine! Dalton will be heading to Skem with Bellow. Scott Burton will be stupid not to move away from Town with better teams after his signature |
|
Jeff

| Turner turns down town | July 22 2012, 6:27 PM |
Tommy Turner has turned down a late approach from Town and has signed for Linnets yesterday |
|
Insider
| Re: Turner turns down town | July 22 2012, 9:36 PM |
Untrue, of course. Rumours are that "the Linnets board has sanctioned silly money in 'expenses' in a desperate attempt to get out of the league" and "not repeat the humiliation of finishing below Town". Millbank and the council are pushing and are allegedly both turning the screws looking for a return on their investment. Millbank in particular are alleged to be considering reducing their investment. This is reputed to be the current boards last chance before they press for wholesale changes. Hence the seemingly money-orientated Turner who has prostituted himself to the highest bidder in the past few years. Linnets beware - Turner hasn't played a whole season for the same club for the last 4 years. |
|
Probable board member
| Re: Turner turns down town | July 22 2012, 10:51 PM |
Well for a fact town pay more money in 'expenses' than Linnets.
Yes the wage bill has increased but the fact is that the 4 teams who finished above the Linnets last season all had a higher wage bill than them.
This season town's wage bill will again be higher but will the final league standings be the same? Linnets seem to have signed some good players whilst at town they have lost one of their best players and don't seem to have replaced him! |

| Re: Turner turns down town | July 23 2012, 7:45 AM |
If the playing budget REALLY is less than Runcorn Town's and with crowds double plus those of Town, were I a Linnets fan I may be asking "What do you do with our money?"
I think the gentleman speaks "bollocks" in trying to justify the highest income in the league producing the 5th best team! |
|
Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | July 23 2012, 9:27 AM |
Linnets budget this season is £1,350 per week and I believe that Ramsbottom's was around £750, Town's £850, Bootle £700.. The fact is even under mid-table Wilkes you had a huge budget compared to the rest of the league! Stockport, Congleton and Barnoldswick will have bigger budgets than Twon and Bootle this season but at the end of the day if thR manager hasn't got a clue who to sign then ultimately failure is what will occur!! |
|
Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | July 23 2012, 10:41 AM |
Towns Budget £850 hahahaahaha
As if they could afford that. Nearer £450 and you would be right. |
|
Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | July 23 2012, 6:36 PM |
And yet again the figure of £1350 quoted for the Linnets is way off the mark as is the figure quoted for Rammy last season.
I think the source needs to double check. |

| Re: New Arrivals | July 25 2012, 8:20 PM |
best of luck to him if true but i genuinly believe he's not all that, yes he's scored a bag full of goals but ive seen games where's none exsistant for 90mins , he will get found out at a higher level i think |
|
Probable board member
| Re: New Arrivals | July 25 2012, 8:42 PM |
I totally agree, ive always thought McShane is overrated and there are better forwards/players in the first division!
He will be found out in a higher league! |

If its true thats not much of a step up for him considering some of the teams that have alledgedly shown interest in him over the last year or so.
Im also very suprised at the negative comments he is getting after scoring so many goals for Town. What more do you need from a striker.
I would absoloutley love to have him at Linnets. |

je whiz you lot.james macshane is going nowhere repeat nowhere!!! he looked sharp last night ok it was only chadderton and a friendly never the less he had that defence in his pocket.scored two could have had 4 easy.the comment about pearson is also spot on.hes looking really good up there.clever player.very good link up play.gareth grant is running hot also hatrick last night for the grant man.simon burton got very interesting problem against padiham should he go threee upfront or two upfront? cause they all worth a shout at the moment towns forwards.as for farmer giles i also dont know if macca can do welding at laird shipyard lol. |
