In a little more than three weeks, Troop 114 will be leaving for Camp Melakwa. A lot of planning has already been going on to make this camp a success for your son, and now we need your help for the final push to get things ready.
1) We have figured out a menu, and the cost for the food. The food for six days, including dinner on August 12th through Lunch on August 18th, and snacks during the day, and at night. This will cost $60. We need to have this money paid to Diane Kruse by the August 2nd troop meeting so that we will have money in our account to cover the purchases. Pack a sack lunch for your son for the trip on Sunday the 12th to camp.
2) I still need physicals forms for the following Scouts: Tim, Nick, Jay, Brady, Bryant, and Joel. I know I have talked with most of you about this, but it is the one thing that will keep a scout out of Camp. Please bring these to the August 2nd Troop Meeting. I have Physicals for all the other boys, and according to the Council office they only have to be resigned by the parent, if there is a change in the health of the scout, such as a new allergy or medication.
3) I have commitments on some equipment and drivers, but not everyone has talked to me yet! I have a definite need for more griddles that will work on two burner stoves. Also we need camp tables to set up our camp stoves and to set up a wash station.
Thanks for your help,
Summer Camp Coordinator
