Your protests are pathetic attempts at a political campaign. We will fight you this time. Farms and lorries will burn, I know they will. Lsst time you made older people suffer getting no meals for days, recieving no visits. You are selfish and self-interested waaters. You won't enjoy it so much this time. I hate farmers and I hate lorry drivers - whinging rich gits exploiting the poor tenement farmer and lorry drivers, what can we say Arrogant Twats on the road not Kings of the Road.

Bring it on and watch your lorry burn.

re your small minded ness !!

try looking outside your own little pocket of existance ! All medical people and emergency services will have access to fuel and meals on wheels !. Please try to see the greater good, less tax, more affordable EVERYTHING !! If the fuels in this country where in line with the rest of europe then perhaps we could once become great britian again, instead of all of us being under cut by foriegn work forces . Unemployment will be down, Houses will become affordable in time. I bet who ever wrote the original message doesn't drive , And perhaps the ederly could afford to heat there homes in the winter with cheaper fuel !! It shows how immature you if you think that burning a lorry helps !! You can burn them if you like, a burnt out lorry is hell of a lot harder to move than a working one !! longer blockades and new lorrys on insurance which will affect your own pocket !! Bring on the Blockades !!! NOW . CHEAPER PETROL, CHEAPER FUEL

I wrote the original message. I do drive and whilst sure I don't drive as many miles as a trucker I do nearly 30,000 miles a year, which I would guess is average or just above average. It is probably also worth mentioning also that I come from a farming family and I live in a rurul area. Yes it costs me a fortune to use my car and it hurts a bit when paying nearly a pound a mile, but I can tell you now that in the job I do, I had old people not recieving food for days in the last blockades. They were frightened, we had them crying down the phones, I suspect some passed away with the stress. My baby daughter went without baby milk for two days because my wife is unable to breast feed. I had fuel but couldn't find a shop with food because of panic buying. The older people were up to 103 years old and terrified. Fuel duty isn't a major issue when your starving and frightened.

It certainly isn't me that would be damaging trucks etc, I just know from talking to a wide number of people that you have misunderstood public feeling. You rode on mid-term anti government feeling. Yes if you ask anyone would they want to pay less tax of course the answer is no, but if you ask them do they want to do it at the expense of the hospitals or most other public services including the roads, then its a definite no. Some people I know are really angry about your actions and are willing to take action. Reading my first post I probably got the tone wrong, but I am telling you now that I know for a fact that a significant number of people are willing to take action in the reverse direction by stopping transport firms from operating or taking away business from those firms that have staff taking part in action.

Until this country has an honest conversation about taxation ie if we want stuff we have to pay for it and therefore stop hiding it in indirect taxes, because it leads to everyone thinking they are being conned then there will continue to be frustraed groups like yourselves. For this to happen it will require us to step out of tabloid polotics (whatever the political persuasion of the newspaper) and have a frank conversation which involves direct taxation being set at higher levels, but indirect being stricly limited as a tool for raising taxation.
