SD2000 threshold

Threshold setup on sd2000.Is it a constant noise when set low? The noise on my unit oscillates when set low.
Is this normal? Hope someone can help.

Have you tried another Battery. Most times I have found that when any of these machines have an unstable threshold it is because you are too close to another detector, some form of electric interference or your battery is faulty.
