I am looking for a second detector.I was told to get a second hand SD2000 and get it modified is this the way to go or should I go for a SD2100 or SD2200?I have a SD2100 already which I am very happy with but I heard there was a batch of bad ones from serial no 36000 to 39000 which would not balance the DD coils.Any help on this topic greatly appreciated.

I have a 2000 modded by finders in Dunolly, and I couldn't be happier with it, it out performs my mates 2100 and he's got a good one. Also the previous answer about the board being black is also true, (check it out)
Cheers, Mono.
