Hi, I was just wondering if their is any chance of finding gold in sydney. I live in Hornsby and their is alot of bush around where I live. I don't have a detector yet, but when I do, I would like to check my area no matter how remote the chance of gold. Just to get my feet wet b4 having to travel 100km+ to a gold area. My question is...obviously the first settlers here didn't find any surface gold, does that then rule out gold underneath the ground?.
