Stone Ravers
Manchester musos Ian Brown and Mani from the Stone Roses have reunited to record a track on the new UNKLE album.
UNKLE are planning to showcase a whole bunch of guest musicians on the LP which hits the shops later this year. Frontman James Lavelle told Xfm.co.uk: "It's an orchestral led piece with Ian on it, and Mani actually plays bass on it. It's in a pretty DJ oriented style. There's a couple of guests on there, but it's not as many as the last one. It's quite a different record. It's a bit more organic and I think it's a little more up and down, and takes you on more of a journey through different types of sounds. From dirty beats to acoustic."
It looks as though Ian's found his new forte, and he'll be performing the new track 'R.E.I.G.N' at London's Fabric nightclub this Friday,. So, if you've always wanted to see what a monkey looks like makin' shapes and waving glow sticks, now's your chance...
