Curious: Did you stop talking, or did Stephan stop reading? Why no more entries since October? Also, why do we get so many book suggestions that have been turned into movies? Does he really read these books, or is he just pushing them for friends in the business of promoting movies? Is someone else giving these suggestions that has nothing to do with Stephan's repertoire of study? It is easy to see that Stephan might have a propensity for reading tragedy after experiencing some of his musical deliveries, and his interest in the supernatural is evident as well, but these recent titles seem questionable.

the impression that i get (lol, good song) is that stephan never stops reading, so i doubt that's the case, the site probably jsut hasn't been updated. about the movie thing- stephan might be reading the book because he heard the movie was coming out, and its always better to read the book before seeing the movie. for example, i know a lot of people who found out the lord of the rings movie was coming out so they read the book. i doubt stephan would be advertising these movies by saying hes reading the book, thats a little far fetched. in stephan's own words -"I don't want to be a fucking target demographic."

leslie.

Thanks Leslie,
I was in a mood to goad. I really only wanted someone to acknowledge that this book club was still in existence, and that Stephan had an interest in engaging the group of interested parties. You said kind words, and spoke with authority. I bet you're very effective in an argument.

I look forward to reading "Theodore Rex." I had considered it on many occassions. What you said about hearing of a movie enticing someone to read a book struck a chord too. After seeing Lord of the Rings I am eager to read the ring series, and wish I had read more than "The Hobbit" before seeing it. However, I couldn't wait.

Forgive my bad manners.
