I was expecting him to suggest something a little more worthwhile like _The_Sand_County_Almanac_ by Aldo Leopold. That sounds like a Stephan book.

Maybe after a little while he'll figure out that he needs to pick a book that people will actually want to read.

A book that people will actually want to read? So what, because we're all 3EB fans (or so I assume) we're supposed to all have the same taste in books. I dont think Jen & Ruby created this club with the state of mind "Hmm lets pick books that are all of the same genre and about the same topic because our website viewers obviously must all have the same taste in novels". God forbid someone read an educational book every now and then. And if you were hinting that pirates are a thing of fantasies and movies perhaps *you* need to read up a little more.
