I had never been partcularly bothered about Cambridge United. But there is no doubt that they have recently been attempting to apply pressure on City - all this "limited window of opportunity" nonsense about a possible deal which will be of no benefit at all to City but will save United's bacon (please - no further comments from United fans who disagree with this point as we've done this to death over the last few months). Plus, recent posts started by United fans have been quite bitter towards City. It hasn't been a particularly good lesson on how to win friends and influence people. It will be of no benefit to football for any club to go bust, though it is bound to happen somewhere before long. If United went to the wall, it wouldn't be City's fault. Or maybe we would get blamed for not selling our ground to help bail them out?
It's about time United concentrated on sorting out their own problems without telling City what they think is best for them. | |
