...you are completely wrong Lilywhite.

I've been watching City pretty regularly since the mid 1980's, when I was at school - the old Gary Grogan, Dominic Genovese, Steve Low era.

I'm a United fan yes, but I see myself as a football fan who lives in Cambridge and would therefore like both Cambridge clubs to do well. I'm not old enough to feel any great City/United rivalry myself - since I was a child, United's rivals have been Posh.

As for the groundshare issue, I'm less and less sure that I would want it from a United point of view anyway, but it has absolutely NO bearing on my feelings when I'm watching City play.

As for the Fringe, its interesting to hear the story behind the chairman's support of City. I'm surprised you think United think they/we are a bigger club than they are - I think most United fans are well aware that we are small-fry within the football league, but are proud that we have achieved a lot in our relatively short league history, against the odds. Just like City, who can be proud to have stayed in the Beazer/DM premier for so long when they are (or were?) the only club in the division to have a football league club on their doorstep.
