To be honest, I think the only time we can really expect the club to upfront about the relocation plans is when they have something concrete to put before us.
I'm sure we are all aware that negotiations have to be done behind closed doors, so to speak, too much in the public domain can compromise plans before they even begin.
I'm just happy to see that the club do seem to be exploring other options other than moving in with United. Certainly, at the time all this ground share came up, the club were in a panic about the reorganisation of non-league and the fact that if we didn't do something quickly we would be left behind, hence the rush to go up the Abbey.
Fortunately the reorganisation has turned out to be a bit of a white elephant and the breathing space this has created has allowed officials at City the opportunity to look at things in a much more measured fashion. Hopefully the club will now formulate plans that suit us far better than any groundshare. | |
