What you say is very valid though. One of City's failings, and there are quite a few at the moment is that we don't seem to understand the theory of pass and move. Whenever we are in possession the players are just not positive enough. They shy away from taking people on and really going for it, midfield is the most guilty in my view, all too often they take the easy option of passing to the backline.

Monday was a perfect example. We just didn't put any meaningful moves together at all, the ball was just hit long and as soon as it was, it became a lottery as to who would win possession.

The players must be playing to orders, plenty of them are experienced enough to know the way we are going about it is not going to get us anywhere fast.
