Last night at Ilkeston was a good all round workmanlike performance by City, two goals from corners by the maestro Kevin Wilkin, the first was his trademark glancing header, the second looked to be bundled in but they all count, and the second goal killed the game really, although to their credit Ilkeston put us under a some pressure midway through the second half. I never thought they would get anything though. Our defence was superb, Colin Vowden was a rock. Midfield was better, Skelly and Wilson looked a useful combination with the two speedy wingers either side. In the first half we looked like opening them up at every attack, very encouraging. We should have been 4-0 up by half time. Three very welcome points
