Steve Holden to return?

In the absence of Vowden wouldn't it be nice to see Steve back where he belongs, in the central defence?

I don't see that Colin is any better than Steve and certainly would hope he plays tomorrow. Flitton is good but not as experienced as Steve.

If Steve is not selected I think we can all assume that he's not in Batch's plans for the future.

With regards to the posing question on this page about Challinor, i sincerely hope he goes nowhere as we need his work-rate, skills and dedication in midfield.

Lets hope for another 3 points tomorrow and a better display.

Good luck tomorrow against Worcester.
Although the results you churn out continue to amaze me, I still think you are the best team we have had at the Lamb this season.

Best team...

Thats nice of you to say so, but if you saw us now you might change your mind.

New players have been brought in and this seems to have unsettled the squad, certainly the cohesion and flow of football has ceased.

Hopefully temporarily.

The trouble is , you expect miracles straight away. I take it you didn`t see the game at Merthyr? I did and that was an example of how well this team can play under Batch. Rome wasn`t built in a day!

Thanks for the compliment Andy of Tamworth. Hope you finish above Kettering (may mean you are champs)

Patience,why?

We had what was possibly the best team at City for the last ten years. It had taken three years to put together. It has been dismanteled in two months by bringing in inferior players and playing in such strange formations,eg. the only forward capable of holding the ball not selected when we apparently play one up front,at home,to an ordinary team.
It seems we are en-route to disaster.

I agree,Tovey had assembled a very good team this season, maybe a little unlucky with results, but not many losses and the possibility of turning those draws into wins.
They also attempted to play good passing football. They did lack a quality front runner, and still do.
Was Batch brought up in the John Beck school of Football?
