At least there's something to smile about.....March 28 2002 at 9:12 AM | Merv |
| .....it may not be much considering City's position, but King's Lynn lost for the second time this week, going down 2-1 at home to Welling following a 3-1 defeat at Ilkeston on Monday, now they are in as much ****e as we are, and seem to be sinking even quicker than we are.
Considering the amount of stick we've had from them over the years about being down the bottom it's nice to see them get the chance to taste what it's like. |

Yes, the shock of losing to Salisbury the other day was softened a little by the excellent news coming out of the Walks this week. Two defeats for them has seen them slip into the relegation mire too. Its also amusing at how quite their messageboard is. Quite in contrast with ours, when we lose this board is awash with postings (mostly negative) but we win , there are very few.
The two games at Easter are the key to our survival, but neither will be easy, both against teams fighting for their lives. It will be like playing two cupties. If we win both we will be well on our way, anything less will make things very difficult indeed
Wouldn`t it be nice to win again at the Walks and send them plummeting into the relegation zone, here`s hoping! |

Lilywhite - I am not at all concerned about Kings Lynn losing. It doesn't soften the blow for me. I don't care whether they are relagated or not, it's Cambridge City I care about and our situation, not that it's in our hands. I hope you agree. |

Who are your remaining fixtures against. We have Tamworth and Kettering this weekend and have still to go to Tiverton and Newport Co, so don't discount us. |

Yes Chelmsford have some real tough games left.
We on the other hand only play two sides currently in the top half in our remaining nine games, mind you, considering we lost 3-1 at home to Salisbury I don't know how much bearing this has. Plus more than half of them are at home. Considering we seem incapable of winning at Milton Road, that fact doesn't bode well.
Safe to say, EVERY game is tough for us.
Remaining games:
H Newport IoW
A King's Lynn
A Hednesford Town
H Stafford Rangers
H Tamworth
A Ilkeston Town
A Stafford Rangers
H Hednesford Town
H Havant & Waterlooville |

So had they won the other night, you wouldn`t have been concerned that they would have gone four points clear of us? Have you looked at a league table recently, Kevin? | |
