| Andy Harper: I don't think this team has a chance of reaching the play offs, next season.
Trevor Peer: Forget the play offs, with the current playing staff we will struggle to stay in the third, I'm not joking its that bad.
Peer:Financially completely scuppered, No money, No sponsorship, no cars in the car park. Disasterous trouble. If they survive the summer?
We were told to expect an announcment in the programme, with a joint statement to follow shortly. Great, I'm none the wiser.
To even be talking with United at this stage is ludicrous, unless its a take-over.
Some on here are still talking equal shares. What rubbish, when Ron Noades looks favourite to get his hands on Kingstonian's ground with an initial bid of £450,000.
Our management must be amazingly dim to even contemplate linking with United. All we can do is pray that the collaborators didn't get as far as striking a deal. Joint training piches, what nonsense, its all OURS.

Its strange how we keep getting little leeks from outside the club forcing Hamilton to respond. I wonder if the puchaser of our ground is Trafford Park Estate, as stated by a previous posting some weeks ago and subsequently denied?
Reading the program notes Hamilton seems to have finally picked up on suggestions from the Website, however, I will be surprised if he has the ability to exploit our situation to the full. Why else would he still be talking to Cambridge United? I don't envy him his task but if we do deal with United I sure we will feel cheated in years to come. |

I suppose selling some fruit and veg might help the club but I can't help think that they need to be a bit more ambitious. |

I have not read the programme notes from last night, but lets wait for the facts and any news. Perhaps we have to trust our present board of Directors to do the best for City, which is make sure we have a positive future. Most of us do not want a merger or anything to do with a merger. With the mess United are in, if we can keep strong, we might move forward, with United taking massive strides backward. Perhaps we should trust our Board more? That they will listen to the supporters?
lets hope |

With United in dire straights, Stuart Hamilton would be well advised to use a good accountant specializing in business takeovers, as every aspect of United's finanacial operation needs to be thoroughly scrutinized. Just think what a terrible mess City Directors would have got themselves into had they followed their original instincts and blindly gone ahead with groundshare.
I can still recall that ridiculous photo of Stuart with Garry Harwood, basking in the glory, letting emotion rule his head
A far safer option is to go it alone and be in control of your own destiny. | |
