Chances of beating Halesowen?

Just been looking at their record so far.

They haven't managed to win a game yet but have drawn five, three of them 0-0. They haven't managed to score a goal in any of their last four games, two of those games were 0-0 and notable in as much as they were against Dover and Tamworth.

So what are our chances of winning? good? fair? Halesowen could make dangerous opponents as they will be striving for a first win.

The thing is with City you never know quite how they are likely to perform, but we are unbeaten in four and riding high in the form table, whereas Halesowen are down the bottom, so if we paly to our strengths we should get the three points......here's hoping anyway!!

Come on you Lilywhites!

On our day we can beat anyone, especially a side that may be low on confidence like Halesowen, but they mustn't be taken lightly, if we do that we will lose, there are few if any sides in this division that will just hand you the points, we've seen it time and time again as sides fight tooth and nail right to the final whistle. We have to go out on that pitch tomorrow, approach the game in the right way and win by being better and more committed that the opposition.

PHILLIPS THREATENS TO RING THE CHANGES - 13/09/2002
Brendan Phillips, manager of Dr Martens League Premier Division club Halesowen Town, has threatened to ruing the changes in the light of a poor start to the season.

Halesowen travel to Cambridge City on Saturday still looking for their first win, and their first goal in four games.

They crashed 3-0 at Bath City on Tuesday, a result which followed a dismal 0-0 draw at home to Dover Athletic.

Phillips (pictured) described the performance at Bath as `poor' and said the midfield was non-existent.

He said: "We created nothing, and barely had a shot on goal.

"The foundation of the team has been built on the defence but they can only do so much.

"I said the current squad would get ten games to see if they can cope with this level.

"Their effort can't be faulted, but I need to move players around, or out to find a winning formula because we are being dragged down."
