A reasonable performance by City. Weymouth had most terrotirial pressure but their attempts on goal were the laughable side of incompetent. Just one good shot effort on goal from them which Davis did well to save. That said, we only had one decent effort on target too - from Jack Wignall(!). Clements and Gutzmore both attempted to chip the keeper on one-on-ones in the first half but both missed the target.

Our defence was solid again - Vowden and Wooding looking totally secure. Wilkin worked hard all day and Nightingale gave us more impetus when he came on.

In the end, both sides cancelled each other out and 0-0 was exactly the right scoreline.

Draw a fair result

Agree with Rob. I was quite happy for us to take a point from this game which , to be honest, was an attritional battle. As Rob says, both sides cancelled each other out and were fairly evenly matched. I was extemely impressed with the way we defended. Colin Vowden was outstanding today and the defenders around him were inspired too. It did concern me that not many chances were created, quite a difference from the midweek game at Ilkeston when we created lots. Matt Clements should have scored when clean through in the first half, but blazed over the bar. That really has to go down as a sitter. Had he scored, I think we would have won, as the home crowd were restless throughout the afternoon and were always on their players` backs. I even heard them chanting "what a load of rubbish" from behind Martin Davies` goal. Jack Wignall`s effort in the second half looked like it was going in from where I was in the mainstand, and credit to their keeper for a great save, even though the ref oddly awarded a goalkick. All in all a reasonable return from this game, a point was well earned. Weymouth is , in my opinion, the best ground in the league. Superb, unobstructed view from the main stand.

Another Clean sheet

I think we have to be happy with a point and that's 2 clean sheets in a row and 3 all season all away from home. I agree that Colin and Tim were excellent. I think we lacked a little cutting edge upfront.
p.s Weymouth's ground may be good but their moving soon aparently.
