The manager was disappointed with the final score and did not feel it reflected a match in which he thought City were in control.
He said: "We never looked like conceding. After the first 20 minutes, which were fairly equal, we got on top and then in the second half it was all one-way traffic.
"They have only had three shots on target in the whole game and then they have scored in the 88th minute."
*************
IN CONTROL!!! ONE WAY TRAFFIC!!!! what planet is this Batch on!! it was dire crap in which City never ever looked like scoring, much like quite a few of our games this season. I actually think he believes we were good on Saturday!!
How many shots did we have on target? One from what I can remember when Vowdens header was tipped over the bar.
I think Batch has totally lost the plot. Journeyman cloggers like Collins shouldn't be in the side at the expense of players who are prepared to put in the effort. I think we should play Wilde up front and tighten the midfield. Too much of Saturdays game passed Wilde and Clements by. I'm sure Clements really enjoys chasing lost causes for 90 minutes.
I think the whole problem goes to the very top of the club. How can a manager be blamed for his teams performance, Cambridge City have under performed for a number of years and the board keep making the same mistakes time and again.
Its time for change and that means the top to the bottom, the board the managers, the lot.
City will always be under achievers so long as the current board keep control.
ur rite sally we need a all makeover even mr (dont no wot he was doin on saturday) batch. why dont u be a manger of city lol it wud b the first time i ave seen a woman take over the club ****************************** not i think if we had gud money every seson i think we sud buy players from the bottom div 3 to help city win all the time
