| We get the ball down and play and look how much better the game was. A well deserved win, achieved in the right way.
Collins was outsatnding, well done to him. In Davies, Vowden, Wooding, Wardley and Wignall, we have a pretty solid looking defence. They were again outstanding on Saturday, much like they have been since Wooding moved to the centre and Jack came in at full-back. I am particularly pleased for Wignall, I am a great fan of his and was worried that he would be pushed out and end up strengthening that lot at Bridge Road. Fortunately a chance came about and he has definately taken it.
The defence looks sorted. Our problem has been our attacking. However, if the team pass and move the way they did first half on sat there will be no problem. Now we've proved we can still do it this way and everyone can see how effective it was, let's hope there is no return to the clueless hoof and hope that has crept into some of our games this season.
More of the same Tuesday please City!!! |

Good football = positive result, even if we had ended up losing nobody could have faulted the team on saturday. Well done lads. It's so much nicer to comment when the team has performed, win, lose or draw, compared to picking the bones out of some of the sorry we have had to endure this season.
Now we have to show it wasn't a flash in the pan by backing it up with continued good displays. the team have shown they are capable of playing the game properly, another effort like that should see three more points tomorrow night, hopefully. | |
