I'm having my 3rd child in about 4 days. My first child is 18 already, I'm 34. I do not wish to have anymore children. That I do know for SURE. I've been taking care of children since I was 15 and I'm far from done. My 2nd child and this 3rd were/will be a c-section. The doctor has asked me if I wanted a TL? I guess if I knew I would not have MANY side effects as I have been reading about and by the way, the doctor did NOT mention to me nor did my husband who is a doctor himself. If I knew there were problems afterwards then I would have a TL in a second. After reading many views on this, I'm quit scared now to have it done. My husband said he would have a Vasectomy if he HAD to {he does not want anymore children either}. His big deal is that I will be on the table with my inside opened up so why the heck can't I just do it. Looking into the whole TL, as I mentioned seems to be quit a problem after it is done. I mentioned it to my husband tonight again and he called me selfish for not having it done! How is that for support? Now I feel stuck. Do I want more kids? NO. Do I want pain and suffering after the TL? NO. Do I think my husband will actually go thru with his Vasctomy? I don't know and if he does, he'll be bickering at me the whole time before and after I'm sure. Any advise, comments before Monday Dec 10th, 2001 would be greatly welcomed.
CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring.
