you stated, "...I am still struggling
with the realization that something i did because I thought it was the safest means for me... is actually possibly destroying me."

You and I were lied to by our doctors. They told us this was safe and had no side effects. They told us that nothing would happen, (even though they know)

Then they tell us that our symptoms/condition is not realated to hormones or to tubal.

I went through a period were I was saying to myself, "how could I have been so stupid"
I struggled with this also but quickly pulled myself out of this. This WASN'T me who did this to me.

It was the doctor.

I was lied to more than once by him. 1st when I was told the surgery was safe and then when I was denied treatment when I returned to him asking for answers and help. He knew what was happening to me, but lied and said this was normal (yea, normal if you've been castrated). He knew if my ovaries were shutting down (a known possible side effect of tubal ligations) that I would be going into hormone shock and experiencing massive bone loss.

When doctors do not inform us before hand of the possible side effects of tubal ligations they are committing a crime. (fraud)

It's happening every day, every where, to many women. Most will end up having 2nd and 3rd surgeries after their tubals. (doctors know this, that tubals create an "aftermarket" for their practice)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
