seizure frequency

I was not born with seizures-they stem from an accident a few years back. With my monthly cycle I also get my seizures-actually clusters of 4 - 6 seizures-daily throughout my period. I have an aura and can tell when they are coming, and unfortunately I can tell when I am going to start my period as well due to the same aura. Hormones are not the only cause of seizres for me though, stress and a few other things can set them off as well. I have been on medication for them for four years now and my levels are theraputic but my seizures still come with my periods every month;more than once a month now. Before signing the consent form for the tubal my husband and I both asked the doctor if this would affect my hormones in any way because my seizures come when there is a hormonal imbalance. HE SAID NO...NOT AT ALL...and he treated me and knew throughout my entire pregnancy that I had epilepsy. Now how can he deliberately lie to us about that knowing how damaging it would be for me. Gran Mal cluster seizures are very very dangerous and the possibility exists that they can result in death. How could he do this to me..us..my family?Would a reverse surgery do me any good? I can not handle this!! This is my 3rd period since 12-25.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
