Exactly how I feel...

by

This is a great site. I found the list last summer and my life changed. I knew that I was not alone. PTS makes you feel alone. At least, it did me. I don't have a support network here at home. No one believes that my symptoms are a result of my tubal.
You are too young at 44 for the hormone testing? I was told that I don't need them as they are expensive and they won't offer any results that will help find an answer to my problems. I am 32. One dr told me, per phone, according to a description of my symptoms, that I was peri-menopausal, and it can last for up to eight years. Meaning, by the time I am 40, I should be in full-blown meno. That sucks! But, at least the periods would be gone, that would be good! I bleed more often than I don't anymore.
I, too, don't have a problem with choosing permanent birth control, have two beautiful children, so I am content. I do, however, have a problem with the crap that I am now forced to go through every day as a result of this decision. I had a series of miscarriages, so I stopped when I got my son. I wouldn't mind another child, but, I would not want a reversal for that reason. The reason I want to ultimately have FRS and a reversal, is to stop the PTS. I don't know how much more I can take of it. I am tired. Emotionally drained. My emotions are a rollercoaster anymore. I go from happy to MAD at the drop of a hat. I have had enough.
Good Luck on getting the hormone testing. I asked five times and was told NO every time. Once, I was told Yes, come in and we'll discuss it and got there and was told that there was no need to do it. The dr had told me that I had to tell HIM what tests I needed run. I am no dr, DUH!!! However, I have since found out what tests to request. We can get you that list if you would like. Good Luck!! Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
