That is a super document that you posted ! I just sent out 6 copies. It is very difficult for most individuals to accept that doctors are and can be as stupid(correct word)as anyone else. Doctors in general have another big problem--- "follow the leader lemming consciousness". Plumbers as a whole are more progressive than doctors and this is unfortunate but it is the way it is. I send many documents to female friends and husbands from your board and Dr. H's forem. I have been researching medical history and medical anthropology for many years and it is an equally difficult job to get consumers of medical services to accept the facts of damage done by the medical profession in the form of iatrogenic injury over the decades as it is to change doctors medico-religico-philoso-ethical-lemming mindset. For ex.---I told a friend to have her dr. prepare another 2 slides during routine pap,in order to send to 2 labs for their combined opinions. This was about 7 or 8 years ago, before computer doublechecks of slides were common. She had cash to pay with. He actually LAUGHED at her and said" what are you , one of those new age women? Then refused to honor her request(I told her to DEMAND it) She never went back to him and had it done elsewhere. My purpose in posting is to compliment SJB on her huge task of pulling the wool from medical consumer's eyes that has been firmily taped there by decades of pompous paternalism. In the end, the medical consumer is more often than not, smarter than the so-called medical "professional". Thank you SJB. walker

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
