Did she see the path report? Was or was it not cancer? What two tests conflict?

"her current dr told her that things just didn't jive." A second doctor told her that and she still trusts the tubal doctor?

Did the tubal doctor tell her cancer when it wasn't? Did he "trick" her into having a hyst?
Women are told all the time that they must have a hyst because of things like fibord tumors, etc...

She refuses to believe that she had any ill side effects from her tubal/hyst experience. She states that she is "fine" and that "whatever I am suffering is not from the tubal."
she's in denial.

She COMPLETELY trusts the tubal dr.

he has her brain washed. She's in denial that someone could do something this horrible to her.

is she married? what does her husband say? You stated that she has had a "troubled past". If she's in a pattern of abusive relationships, (or childhood) and has been used to being "controled" by men in her life, it would be very easy for the doctor to brain wash her into beliveing that nothing is wrong and that the TL had no play in her extended bleeding and hyst.

I feel my doctor "brain washed" me to some point. The sicker I got, and the deeper I fell into hormone shock, the easiler it was for him to do...

I kept returning to him saying something wasn't right and he kept telling me that i was normal and healthy. Thats what i wanted to hear and that's what I wanted to belive. I didn't have a board such as this to find information.

They will look you right in the eye and lie. They might even "touch" you, (putting a hand on your shoulder, etc...) They sincerly say that the TL has no side effects, that hormone testing will not show anything, etc... and they (being doctors) are very good at convincing us because we do "want" to "trust" and think that it goes against all for them to lie to us. We think that they have our best interest in mind, but they don't.

many women go on to have a hyst after a TL. In some cases the TL causes damage so badly that there's not much that can be done in some cases. In other cases it might be possible to repair, such as Dr. H's FRS, but this take time and time is money.... The good old boy thinking is that we don't need it any more so take it out... This is the "after market" that TL's create. OBGYN doctors love this, more surgeries, more MONEY!!! Everyone wins, the doctors, the hospitals, the makers of surgical equipment, drug co's who make and sell HRT, etc... Everyone except the women.

We are victims. It's like a con game. It's called medical fraud. This fraud that surrounds american women, informed consent (or information about TL's in general) has been going on for decades.

In time your friend may see the light and understand what really happened and really understand... but the light is very bright and painful. It hurts to find out that we are victims.

She may not be ready. In the mean while why not try to convince her to gather her records and to visit a lawyer?

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
