Dynette-
HI!! I'm Cheryl. You'll see LOTS of posts from me here!! :o)
Go to page 2, and look for a series of messages about reversal between Charlotte and I. Read the one that says something like This Was My Thinking..
Reversals are not as simple as we think. They are just the opposite. Very Complex! Not everyone is a candidate for reversal. Depending on the condition of the female organs post-tubal, dr's won't always do it.
Not saying that YOU are not a candidate for reversal. If you are not suffering PTS symptoms, and have a pretty good menstrual history, you may be okay.
They are costly. Ranging from $5,000 and up, I believe. The success rates vary from method to method, case to case. The more successful procedures and dr's usually cost quite a bit more. The highest I have heard, I believe is $8,000. So, as you can see. It is not cheap!*lol*
Do you know the method of tubal done on you? Have you had any complications prior to the tubal? Have you experienced any complications at all post-tubal? I would advise obtaining your medical records from the tubal and since, and read them over. Just go to the dr and ask for copies of your records. Sometimes they charge a fee, but they can't be held from you. You have to go to the dr that you want to get the records from, they don't release records from other dr's, only their own records on you since they took care of you. Get all labwork, dr's notes, your tubal report, a copy of the consent form you signed for the tubal, everything! And sit down and read them. Any questions, post here, we will get an answer somehow! :o)
Hope this helps!! Cheryl :o)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
