For Renee..... :o)

Renee-
Okay, let me try and answer this for you. *lol* I am feeling a bit under the weather today. :o(
Don't be scared. What is happening to you is happening to us, as well. I understand completely where you are coming from.
As for the pill, many dr's put post-tubal women on it to "help alleviate their symptoms." But, in doing this, they are basically saying that we need to be on some form of HRT. They just prescribe the pill many times without doing the hormonal blood work to see EXACTLY what type of HRT you need and how much of it. The pill was designed, in my opinion, to prevent pregnancy, not as a form of HRT. I wouldn't be surprised if he suggests this for you. If that is the case, I would advise you to demand the hormonal protocol given to us by Dr. Vicki.
Another thing, just because you have been going to the same dr all your life, it doesn't mean that he is going to be honest with you when it comes to PTS. Sadly enough, all dr's can't be trusted. Some can, but there are others out there that will lie to you. I have found a few of them myself. PTS is not something dr's are going to come out and admit that it exists. There is too much money to be lost.
As far as having a full-term normal baby, yes, it does happen. Tubals are NOT always 100% effective permanently. The chance is there, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
I would ask for the hormonal protocol the next time you talk to your dr, whether or not he suggests the pill for you. Sooner or later, most times, peri-menopause sets in in post-tubal women. That is what causes your periods to become irregular and brings on the symptoms we experience.
Don't be afraid, we are here for you. You are not alone in this. Post here whenever you want, we will help you along in this.
Take Care and keep me posted on what you find out!! Cheryl :o)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
