Who's the Boss

Lisa, you seem overly compliant with a doctors orders with which you disagree. Know one posting on this board is a doctor that I know of, so all the advice given here is, simply that, Friendly Advice(not medical opinion). You are the patient, but you are also the BOSS. You 're medical treatment is not a handout, you are a paying consumer and have every right to expect full satisfaction. If you are not happy with your Dr.'s interpertation of this problem or his soultion for treatment, then you need to actively pursue another Dr. If you truely believe your problem is not bi-polar depression (which is what Lithium is usually perscribed for) than you owe it to yourself and your family to find the real cause of your problems.That is not to say that the Anti depressants may be wrong for you, because they may help. Only you can be the judge of that. I know how frustrating this is, I have been chasing my own tail on the same issue for the past 5 years, and my Drs, know I have some exposure to the medical field through my profession. You need to tell your OBGYN that you are a rational,reasonable person, of normal intelligence, who is not given to exaggeration or constant complaing, and that you feel the tests will determine whether your symptoms may be caused by a hormone imbalance. That you believe that he would not want you to be wrongly diagnosed and hence treated inappropriately, so you feel you can trust him to support your decision to look into this matter by running the test. Hope you are able to find some answers. Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll still land among the stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
