Hey Lisa ! First find out the chemical name of the nerve pill. Then go to a book store or library and locate a PDR (physicians Desk Reference). Ask the employees if you can't locate the book. Look up the names of your drugs and READ the adverse effects, indications for usage,etc.You may very well stop taking the drugs once you READ the info. One usually goes to a doctor for advice and technical assistance. Your doctor is falling short in both respects. I have found that generally a doctor does not know the subject of medicine very well. Usually the customer, with a little study, knows more than the doctor about one's specific ailment. You have to do your own research. Your personal health is both too important and too complex to entrust to someone else, including and most importantly, a doctor.
I curse, act obnoxious and bang my fist loudly on whatever is available until I get satisfaction or am escorted by security away from the medical facility(only escorted once ---so far !!). That may sound a little radical but you would not believe the results I get---they don't want me to rock their boat and upset their other PAYING customers. I get what I want. So far I have not been refused anything--narcotics of MY choice(for cancer), copies of CT's films, copies of x-ray films, copies of operative reports,any blood test I want, copies of path reports. We refused tatooing for radiation treatment, hospital gowns and we refused to ride in a wheelchair. I asked the radiologist the amt. of rads or the skin entrance dose of radiation and of course they didn't know. Actually they gave me the electrical potential of the x-ray machine !! I had to do research for myself. I advise making such a uproar that they give you what you want. The autonomy of the individual should rule in the medical environment. Do they still think they are God? walker

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
