My thoughts.... :o)

by

Trish-
That is what I was told, also after my ultrasound. Everything looked fine, except that my uterus was enlarged a bit, but not out of the normal parameters. They said all my other organs were all normal sized, so there was no problem. I had been diagnosed prior with a fibroid on the back of my uterus, but it was not seen during the US. I asked, but was told that it probably "just went away." There was also some fluid in the cul-de-sac somewhere or other ;o) but it was probably just a cyst that ruptured, no harm done.
If your dr doesn't believe in PTS, there is no way that he/she will say that you have it. Yes, ultrasounds do show things, but they are the reasons that they blame your complications on, not coming right out and saying PTS. Does that make sense? I hope so, I know what I mean, I just hope I said it right. :o)
Right now, NO DR is going to come out and diagnose PTS. It is not "accepted" by the rest of the physician population, so you can't go against the rest. They will just throw their weight around and quash the rumors before things get out of hand. They know we are there and that it is only a matter of time before our cries for help are heard. I would tend to think that if it didn't really exist, they would be doing their darndest to disprove our claims, but since they know it is true, they do nothing. Just wait..... wait until we have our say and are finally taken seriously.
Make sure you have copies of the results of the US you had. I would advise any dr that I began seeing, that I was going to receive copies of any and all tests or whatever I had every time from them. We have to lay the ground rules here. We are the victims that are being treated as hysterical women. They have proven that they are not going to help us, so we have to MAKE them. I believe that we have to let them know that we know what we are talking about and will NOT be treated as a "stupid woman" when seeing them.
Sorry, got on the soapbox again. You asked a simple question and I wrote a book in reply. :o) I do that often!*lol* Hope I managed to answer your questions anyways!! Cheryl :o)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
