Yes, they do....

by

Dr's have to take what is called The Hippocratic Oath. I believe the first part of this says "First Do No Harm." It is in Latin, but that is what it means. I don't know the rest, I am sure you could find it online somewhere, maybe. But I do know about the part I mentioned. In my opinion, the dr's that do tubals and don't tell their patients of PTS, and the dr's we go to see for our complications and totally disregard us, are violating this part of their oath. This VERY IMPORTANT part of their oath.
Granted, NOT ALL dr's know about PTS. The ones I am talking about are the ones that know about it and still either deny it's existence or the ones that don't keep up on the "new information" like they should. I am sure they are held to some standard as far as keeping up on the latest research and studies. There have been studies done on PTS before. More need to be done.
So, my point, in closing, is that YES, dr's do have to take an oath before beginning to work. At what point, I don't know. Interns, real dr's, I don't know and exactly what all of it says, I don't know either. I just know about the part I talked about. "First Do No Harm." The one thing they violate each and every time they dismiss a woman's claim of PTS or purposely withhold information of PTS from a woman consenting to TL. We can't say that any dr knows about it and covers it up for sure, but some of the hints some give sure point to that. These dr's need to be held accountable for their actions. We will see to it! Cheryl :o)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
