I sat down today and went through my insurance papers and notes that my husband had kept on our medical history.I was amazed. There were things I had forgotten,but anyway I typed this medical history for the doc that I'm going to see thursday.I had said earlier that I had not taken the pill for any of my problems but I was wrong I took them twice. See that memory thing.I want to share this with everyone so people can see how a healthy woman can become so sick. I have a few initials in here. They stand for hospital names.

Tubal ligation June 20,1994

Nov. 94 JW for stomach pain- may be cyst on ovary

June 95 saw Dr Miller yearly exam-given Aygestin

March 96 saw Miller aygestin

April saw Miller 2x -second for ultra sound lo/ovral started bleeding 21 days a month

june 96 JW for pain

June saw Miller 3x on June 27th Hysteroscope

admitted to HDH on 28-July 1st for infection on 1st was given alprazolam

july 9th 96- d&c & laposcopic Dr.Gentile did surgery (Miller hand broken)

from sept. to nov on pain meds. prescribed by miller

March 8,97 back at Jw for infection & pain

saw dr. miller then dr. cantron in nov 97- questioned hormones, fatigue, and wieght gain
with both both said I was fine Dr. Miller offered anti depressant and told me to push
plate away for weight gain(have not seen miller since)Cantron did pap and sent me for
mamogram
Cantron referred me to Dr. Bettinger due to gallstones

Dec 31,97 gallbladder removed

Was told from begining Hsyterctomy was the only solution

Had no problems before tubal other than a cyst to rupture in oct. 91

Hard to believe I'm only 31 yrs old

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
