Becky I have done so much research on Tubals in the past 6 months, I have found out that T/L are not as affective as once was thought. One source that I found was a study from Harvard and it said: The chances of pregnancy after a ligation(the study followed over 200 women for up to 10 years) there were I think over 40 pregnances, some were tubal preg.( They are very dangerous) And another sight said that 1 in 400 women will get pregnant this year alone.And on to say that in some cases endometrioses (spelling?!) could cause a bridge between tubes. And also some typs of ligations are more apt to fail then others.. I really am not trying to scare you but you really need to be checked to make sure.. Please don't wait, I personally know 2 woman that this has happened to... One even had her tubes ligated a second time...I was late back in Feb. and thought that I was, I called my OBGYN, and was asking the nurse questions, and do you know that instead of trying to calm my nerves she recited the form I signed explaining that he could not be held responsable for a tubal failure!! And thats not even what my major concerns were about...Which goes to show me that she must have gotton more than a few of these calls!! I hope that I didn't ramble too much...The chances are still pretty slim, but it is better to be safe than sorry..Goodluck sweetie. Please let us know what you find out..

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
