Are you in meno now? What are your symptoms? Your ovaries (if healthy) will function and you will benfit from them until you are long into old age.

You can find out "before hand" if your ovaries are healthy by having the hormone testing done. Is he going to just LOOK at them and just guess if they are healthy or not?

Wait...

This DOES happen. Some doctors think they can look and tell by site if the tissue is good or not,

or...

they THINK that they can tell you it's one when it's another. I know from 1st hand experience. This does happen.

The statement is as crazy as someone saying that they can look at people and tell if they have aids.

If he removes your ovaries, you will be in instant menopause. Believe me, you don't want this to happen.

I went through a surgical meno for two years with out treatment. The only thing different that will be happening to you is you'll then be given HRT right from the start and you'll most likely
be on the rest of your life. (HRT has risks of it's own - it's best to keep your ovaries if you can (if they are o.k.)

I pray for you that this doctor is a good man.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
